Privacy Policy

This page describes what this website — the public site for Sheng Chang, M.D., Ph.D.'s family medicine practice — does and does not do with information about the people who visit it. It does not cover how the office handles your medical records; that is governed by HIPAA and the office's separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which you can request by phone or in person at the office.

This website does not use cookies or analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind. No visit, click, or page view is recorded, measured, or shared with any third party.

What this site stores in your browser

Two on-page controls save a preference locally, in your own browser's storage, so it holds between visits:

• The dark/light theme toggle saves which theme you chose.
• The text-size control saves the size you chose, so the site doesn't reset to the default size every time you come back.

Both are stored only on the device you're using, are never transmitted anywhere, and are never seen by this office or by us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them. Nothing else on this site is stored in this way.

No forms collect information on this site

This website has no appointment-request form, contact form, newsletter sign-up, or any other form that collects your name, email address, phone number, or health information. The only way to reach the office through this site is to call the phone number or send email to the address listed on the Contact page — doing either of those puts you in direct contact with the office by phone or email, not through this website.

Maps and outside links

The Location page embeds a Google Maps view of the office address so you can see it without leaving the site. Loading that map is a request to Google, and Google's own privacy policy governs what happens with that request — this site has no visibility into it and no control over it. The "Directions" links on that page send you to Google Maps or Apple Maps in a new destination entirely; once you follow one of those links, you're on Google's or Apple's site, not this one.

A handful of other pages — for example the biography and the immigration medical exam pages — link out to outside sources such as USCIS, the CDC, and Dr. Chang's civic history in the Arcadia Public Library's local history archive. Following any outside link takes you to a site this practice does not operate and cannot speak for.
